Buchanan Technologies Supports Mary Kay Ash Foundation’s 22nd Annual MK5K®
Managed IT services provider’s employees return to Addison, Texas, to help raise funds for women’s cancer research and domestic violence prevention.
GRAPEVINE, Texas – Oct. 8, 2026 – Buchanan Technologies, a leading provider of managed IT services, supported the Mary Kay Ash Foundation® as a Diamond-level sponsor of the 22nd Annual MK5K®, held Saturday, Oct. 3, on the South Lawn of the Mary Kay Building in Addison, Texas. The event raises funds for research into cancers affecting women and for programs working to end domestic violence.
Buchanan has been a fixture at the MK5K for more than a decade. On race morning, Buchanan employees and family members volunteered on site, cooking up a carb-loaded breakfast to fuel participants, staffing event stations and joining thousands of runners and walkers in the 5K and One-Mile Fun Run.

All MK5K proceeds benefit the Mary Kay Ash Foundation, which marks its 30th anniversary this year and has contributed more than $100 million since 1996 to organizations aligned with its two-fold mission. Mary Kay Inc. serves as the event’s presenting sponsor, and participants could join in person in Addison or virtually from anywhere in the country.
Speaking to participants on race day, a Foundation board member pointed to the domestic violence shelters across the country that have kept their doors open with the Foundation’s support. “That’s over 4 million women’s lives and their families’ lives changed forever, and changed for the better,” the board member said. “That is your work. That’s $100 million in action.”
